About the role
We are looking for a Business Manager to join our Operations team at our new flagship Eagle Farm, Brisbane location. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day branch operations including supervision and management of staff, ensuring our customers, internal and external stakeholders receive quality service and an experience they would repeat, share, and recommend. The successful candidate will be rewarded with on-target earnings of $110k per year commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience and performance plus Superannuation.
Your role and responsibilities:
• Perform all duties in line with the Alpha Values of Accountability, Honesty, Loyalty, Respect & Trust
• Manage, lead, and develop a team of staff to the highest levels of performance and job satisfaction by developing their skills, knowledge, and behaviours
• Adhere to all legislative requirements and industry awards, pertaining to performance management, contractual, award rates, vehicle rental agreements etc while following company policy and procedures
• Undertake recruitment, onboarding, and training activities
• Ensure branch rostering is effective to meet demand, controlling costs (P&L), increasing sales, meeting targets and KPI’s
• Ensure compliance and workplace health & safety and operational risks and incidents are reported and managed effectively in accordance with policies and procedures
• Provide flexibility to assist across locations where required
• Ensure fleet integrity, including roadworthiness, fleet check accuracy, managing damage control and general maintenance tasks are completed.

About you
You will be able to demonstrate:
• Previous operations experience within a Car Rental, Fleet, Tourism, Retail or Customer service and sales environment with managing people or teams and desire to learn and grow in the industry
• Excellent people management and communication skills
• Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
• Safety, Compliance, Risk, and Issue management experience
• Growth mindset, strong emotional intelligence, and must be able to work under pressure, while maintaining a positive attitude and resilience
• Ability to multitask, as well as be highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Experience in dealing with customer issues and conflict resolution
• Willingness to get involved in the business at all levels while demonstrating our company values and leading by example
