Exceptional service. Offered a free upgrade which suited us since we were driving on the motorways and felt much safer than it would've in the small car. Nice to be able to get a discount off parking in melbourne too. Great way to bundle parking and car hire.

Q: Can I check rates without making a reservation?
You can check the rate and availability on a vehicle without making a reservation. Simply enter the locations, dates, times, your contact details and the type of vehicle you would like to get a quote on, and this will display all the vehicles that are available for that period. Make sure you enter details into all fields with asterisks (*), otherwise the quoting system won't work. If you need to change the dates or any other details of your quote, click on the 'change' button. Unless you enter your credit card number, all your quotes and enquiries are not a reservation.
Q: Do I need to check the condition of the vehicle prior to leaving the keys at the counter office?
Yes, you do need to check the vehicle's condition prior to leaving the office. This is part of the process in renting a vehicle to ensure you are aware of what condition the vehicle is in when you collect it. One of our Rental Sales Officers will walk around the vehicle with you and mark off any pre-existing damage and this form requires the main driver's signature. If you disagree with any marks or damage that isn't listed, you need to tell one of our friendly staff members before you sign this.
When you return the vehicle, you need to walk around the vehicle again with one of our employees to ensure no damage has been made to the vehicle.
Q: Where can I not drive the rental vehicle?
There are some areas that limit where you take your rental vehicle.
If you hire a vehicle from one of Queensland branches, you can travel anywhere in Queensland as far North as Cairns. You can travel in New South Wales, ACT and in Victoria as far South as Melbourne. Travel is not permitted in South Australia, Western Australia or the Northern Territory.
If you collect a vehicle from any of our Melbourne branches, you can travel as far North as Brisbane, anywhere in New South Wales, ACT and South Australia. Travel is not permitted in Western Australia or the Northern Territory.
You are not able to drive your Alpha vehicle off road or on unsealed roads. This includes roads that are made out of gravel, dirt or any material other than bitumen.
If you do not adhere to the terms of your rental, and you drive your rental vehicle in a prohibited area, your insurance will be voided. For full details, please refer to the Terms and Conditions
Q: Where can I find out about Alpha Car Hire's Price beat guarantee?
Alpha Car Hire offers a price beat guarantee to ensure our customers are getting the best deal on their car rental. The price beat guarantee applies if a quote is received on the same day for a similar vehicle class with a company offering similar terms and conditions. The vehicle needs to be in the same age range as Alpha Car Hire. An Alpha Car Hire staff member must receive the written quote in order for us to offer the discount. The price beat guarantee does not apply through School Holidays.
