Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols

Happening on December 9, The Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols is a free family event that features some of the country’s best performers and entertainers, including Rhonda Burchmore, Mahalia Barnes, Luke Kennedy, to name a few.

Also, musician and TV personality, John Foreman will direct and conduct a full symphony orchestra, along with other groups like the Carols Dancers, Vocal Manoeuvres Carols Choir, and Voices of Birralee Youth Choir. The concert starts at 7 p.m. lasts until 9 p.m.

Gold Lotto City Hall Lights

Another special event you shouldn’t miss is the lighting of the Brisbane City Hall. Running from December 8 until December 24, you can witness a fantastic Christmas projection show with the Gold Lotto City Hall Lights.

The all-new magical light show begins every 15 minutes from 7:30 p.m. until midnight. So, be sure to see it with your family at least once.

Christmas Movies in the Park

Why spend money on expensive streaming services when you can watch movies for free? All your favourite classic Christmas films will be shown at Roma Street Parkland’s Amphitheatre precinct from December 8 to 17.

The city’s well-loved family event returns this December. The Christmas Parade is jam-packed with fun, music, and various performances, which includes a fantastic nativity scene and everyone’s favourite, Santa Claus, will make an appearance. The parade runs every night from December 15 until the 24th.

Christmas Village Gift Markets

If you want to go shopping for gift items, tasty treats, and the like, head over to South Bank’s Christmas Village held in the South Bank’s Parklands from December 15 to 23. There are many fun activities for the whole family. Your children will enjoy the free craft and dance activities. Plus, they will get a special visit from Santa Claus himself.
