Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Know what’s happening around the city and when. That way, you know where to go with your friends and family for the celebrations. Here are some of the many events around Perth this Chinese New Year:

Chinese New Year at Brookfield Place | February 5

The event starts on February 5 and ends on February 15. What’s more, throughout those ten days, there will be plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. That also includes the traditional lion dance, blessing of the Precinct, the Chinese Lanterns and Festive Art exhibit. Here, you can see the unique artwork on these Chinese lanterns.

Chinese New Year at Mandoon Estate | February 9

The Llawn at Mandoon Estate on February 9, will celebrate with a variety of entertainment. Including a Dragon Dance performance by the Chungwa Association along with others. Don’t miss your chance to witness the Dragon Dance and all the other fun in celebration of the Lunar New Year

Perth Chinese New Year Fair – Northbridge | February 10

At the Perth Chinese New Year Fair, you won’t run out of things to do. There will be stalls, parades, live entertainment, and cultural activities among others. Of course, no Chinese New Year celebration will be complete without the traditional lion and dragon dances.

Chinese New Year – Sorrento Quay Boardwalk

If you’ve ever wanted to witness a Chinese orchestra, then head down to Sorrento Quay Boardwalk on February 10. The orchestra plays at 12:30 pm.

You can do other activities in the morning including Chinese dancing while you wait for the show to start.

Chung-Wah Chinese New Year – Pan Pacific Hotel | February 16

The Chung-Wah association hosts the Chung Wah Chinese New Year event at the Pan Pacific Hotel. It’s a formal event where you can try some traditional Chinese food as well as enjoy performances from various talents.

Lunar New Year Lantern Festival | February 17

On February 17, walk down William Street in Northbridge. Here, you can see the beautiful red lanterns strung along the way. Aside from that, there are also activities for your kids and roving entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
