Visiting Melbourne
Melbourne is a city known for it's diverse culture, boutique shopping and famed for it's hole-in-the-wall cafés. Incredible street art is aplenty and Melbourne's laneways offer an exciting new way to explore a new city! Of course you can't explore them all in one day though, so here's a few you can't miss if you're short on time:
If you're looking to get out of the city, hire a car in Melbourne and head out to Geelong!
DeGraves Street
Whether you're after a meal or just a quick coffee; this popular laneway is full of quality cafés and restaurants. Not only is the food great and the coffee some of Melbourne's best, it is also reasonably priced and only a short walk from Flinders Street Station! You'd be a fool to walk by without checking what all the fuss is about.
AC/DC Lane
Named after the iconic rock band, this lane has stayed true to it's musical title. This laneway is home to one of the best live music venues in the city, the famous Cherry Bar. With different genre of music on every night of the week, you'll get a great look at the best of Melbourne's nationally revered local music scene!
Federation Square
Federation Square is located on the corner of Swanston and Flinders Street. Offering a roster of live bands, public screenings of major sporting events and incredible exhibitions at ACMI there is never a dull moment at Federation Square! Nearby you'll also find the world famous Melbourne Aquarium, The Shrine and Queen Victoria Markets.
